I dunno how many people have realized that there is no middle ground, but really there isn’t any!

 It is either you are for the Lord or you’re for the devil, and while we can choose to be for the Lord, we do not choose to be for the devil. It is something automatic; since you’ve not chosen to be for the Lord, then you’ve settled for the other option. It’s not something negotiable, neither is it something debatable, you are either here or there.

While we think it is until we have picked up guns to shoot somebody else that we are being instruments of the devil, we need to know that there are less & lesser ways to be instrumental to the devil, hence it is so easy to be for his use (broad and wide is the way that leads to destruction). Lying comes naturally for majority of us; as a matter of fact, lying is a lifestyle for a lot of us (even if it is all these small lies) and yet according to us, it is others that need to repent not us.

Fornication is a normal thing in this age; we fornicate and commit adultery at ease, yet we still claim to lift up holy hands. We don’t even remember that we were sent to the world, we think we evolved from one thing or the other, and so we are in charge of our lives, forgetting that there is no middle ground, it is only either of the two(the Lord or devil) that can be in charge of our lives. We are all about getting money, showing off that we have arrived and getting ‘just more money’ like anybody would send you to the earth primarily to come and make money, yet we still say ‘my life is in your hands’.

Well, one thing I know is that God can use anybody for His glory because we are all His creation. With God there are vessels of clay, silver & gold; there are also vessels unto honor and dishonor. No doubt, the Lord knows them that are genuinely His, and will not use them unto dishonor but will make them carriers of His glory everywhere on earth; we are the ones to decide whether to shine as a light for His glory which can never be hidden or to shine for ourselves.

So while we have decided to take charge of our lives, rewrite the commandments and take laws into our hands, please let us also remember that there is no midpoint, you are either here or there and the only person you will deceive that you are where you are not is yourself.

These things...

(Matt 4:8-9 KJV)- “Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory; and he said to Him, ‘all these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me”.

If we are not going to fall down and worship him just to have these things, then we must know that we are not sufficient in/by ourselves, rather, our sufficiency is in Christ Jesus. It is saddening to note that the devil is able to imitate all that God has promised His elect, making it very difficult not to fall for his deceit while we are waiting for manifestation of Promises. It is more saddening to realize that many of us are already claiming/enjoying these pseudo-blessings or even thanking  God for them before realizing that they are not from God; So again “Let he that thinketh that he stands, take heed lest he falls”.

There are temptations fitting for every stature; while he may tempt me to do money rituals and its likes under the guise of financial prosperity, yours may be something as simple as he telling you to take a job of 1m-per-month because you’re a fresh first-class graduate and so you are most-deserving of it.  A 1m-per-month job that only looks like a blessing in the beginning but will no longer be sufficient for you in the nearest future, that will later draw you away from the kingdom of God, and will make you lose your identity in the long-run. For some others, it may just be something as simple as saying yes to a seemingly harmless offer only to regret it in future.

Since the devil is not losing focus “which is to get us to be condemned to eternal damnation with him” but only adopting new strategies to this effect, we also must not lose our focus which is “reigning in eternal life with Christ” but live in righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy ghost at all times. Let’s always remember to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto us.

p.s - just in case you also want to adopt new strategies, pls remember that we have been given a manual, that we wrestle not against flesh & blood and that our weapons of warfare are not carnal……. and I guess you should be fine with this :D.
