Relationships #GodFirst

The issue of relationship is what I would call "the Pivot of Life"; every other thing hinges on it.  Life is all about relationships; you relate with people everyday, everywhere and everytime. As a matter of fact, the tangibility of your relationship with people and yourself (yes your relationship with you) goes a long way in describing your personality and even goes further to say something about your future. 

Now this is something that worries me about the today's society. The society is actually a bigger picture/a refection of the quality of our relationships. There is so much going on in the society today and this is an indication that there is something wrong with how we relate with ourselves/one another. 

I know we relate/build relationships with people almost very easily but the success of these relationships has a greater determinant that we fail to recognise. 

Ps 24:1  helps us to understand that the earth belongs to the Lord, and everything in it- the world and all its people.

Yes 'The Lord God' is this greater determinant of any successful relationship yet many of us do not have a relationship with Him let alone have a good one. Do you know that success with Him is success in all?

Having a relationship with God (a progressive one) is what helps you in your relationship with His creation. How do you think a person who doesn't value the Creator will relate with the 'created'? Likewise right!

Is there any other reason that explains why people expect religious people to be the best other than this? I doubt. It is believed that since we relate well enough with Him then we ought to behave like Him and this belief is not wrong. Our relationship with other people speaks volume about our relationship with God and vice versa. 

Going forward...Because we are social beings and must relate with ourselves (remember no man is an Island), lets determine to have better relationships. Note that this goal is only achievable by having a relationship(better one) with God.

Yaaay, a new lap just started

Its been few hours since we concluded the previous lap (of our lives) and started this one. What are the things you learnt from the last lap (your race in 2016)? What challenges did you face? How did you overcome these challenges? What challenges were you not able to overcome? Can you pick out 2/3 lessons you learned that will come in handy this lap?

Gradually the euphoria of a new year is beginning to wear out and reality is dawning that life actually does continue after 'the cross-over'. So hows your 2017 going to be? For any reason at all, please be intentional about making 2017 a more fulfilling year.

Personally I have begun this year with my Creator, I intend continuing and ending the year with Him and I implore you to do the same. The Greatest Book of all time (the Bible) makes us to realise that it is those who know their God that shall be strong and shall do great exploits regardless of our geographical location; and as such in order to record great successes this year we need to be strong in our God every step of the way.

Pls do not carry on in fear/doubt, likewise do not go ahead of God strategising how to make it this year (remember that as many are led by God to them have been given the rights to be called the sons of God), let God lead you- this is the surest way to avoid being stranded.

Completely remove the idea of loafing about, inculcate the mindset of serious work and be prepared to work. Yea, work smartly this new year and watch God rewarding your efforts with great success.
